Seeds are commonly seen in our everyday living. Seeds are an integral part of human living, whether in our diet, energy, art or religion. In fact, the development of culture is closely related to the cultivation, acclimatization and utilization of seeds. Rice, wheat and corn are often the staple foods on our dining table every day, and various fermented flavor enhancers, such as wine, vinegar, soy sauce and bean paste, mostly have seeds as the main ingredients. We often get to see what grain seeds really look like, because we eat them directly. But what about the equally essential seeds of fruits and vegetables? What do they look like? Tiny, black and inconspicuous? In fact, the seeds of these fruits and vegetables come in all shapes, sizes and colors, especially when observed under a scanning electron microscope. You will be amazed by the surreal sculptures you see. Let's get re-acquainted with these seeds from a micro perspective.
